Robotics is essential in even the world’s smallest industries, offering lots of benefits in terms of efficiency and safety (17). Engineers from various disciplines collaborate to design and construct robotic systems, blending mechanical, electrical, and software engineering (16). This paper provides a full exploration of the field, highlighting its profound impact on science.


Robotics engineering creates the foundation of this very field, involving a multidisciplinary approach that uses mechanical, electrical, and software engineering (16). Engineers play a very important role in the development of robotic systems, contributing to their design, construction, and even modifications, making the proper changes for better usage (16). They make sure that robots operate with precision and reliability. This helps them meet the demands of many diverse and new applications across industries.


The incorporation of robotics and coding in medicine has led to a huge transformation in healthcare (11). From the year 2022, robotic surgical systems will perform over 3 million procedures(15). By 2025, the medical robotics market is expected to reach over $20 billion worldwide (15). Additionally, in 2020, an estimated 1000 Da Vinci robotic surgical systems were sold globally (15).


The military sector has witnessed substantial growth in the utilization of robotics and coding, with the global military robotics market reaching a valuation of $21.27 billion in 2021 (13). This market is expected to grow a lot by 2028 (13). With further implication of robotic systems and engineering, the military field will be safer and happier, with less human lives at risk. The integration of robotics in military applications has resulted in increased operational efficiency and reduced human risk in hazardous missions (09).


Drones have become everywhere in lots of different parts of the future, not only in the job industry, but also just in technological advancements in general. With the global drone market thought to reach $45.8 billion by 2025 (01), robotics has clearly become a field of its own, and a leading field too. This growth is because of their diverse applications, including package delivery, aerial surveillance, and recreational use (01). Drones are reshaping industries and could even have the potential to revolutionize the way goods are transported and monitored.


Robotics has made everyday life easier, greatly contributing to the automation of many different tasks and processes (02). From smart home devices to self-driving cars that promise to revolutionize transportation, robotics is in our daily routines (02). These advancements improve efficiency, no doubt. However, they also raise questions about the safety and usage limits of these groundbreaking technological devices.

Engineers, through their expertise in mechanical, electrical, and software engineering, help drive innovation in and throughout robotics (01).
